Praise for Agent Automatic

“Issue (#16) of
Verbicide is now out and is ridiculously great. I have to give props to Nate and Jackson for putting out their most attractive, solid issue yet. You've got in-depth interviews with Saul Williams (a major artistic influence on ADA and a hero of mine) and Gorillaz alongside… fiction by people like Agent Automatic.” -Jeremy Robert Johnson, author of “Angel Dust Apocalypse”.

By Rev. Ivan Stang
Founder of the Church of the SubGenius:

"Much to my surprise, that reporter guy "Agent Automatic" wasn't bullshitting, he was really working for a printed paper rock magazine, and even more shocking, he liked the show."

"It's a good article in that it adds to the dogma rather than just regurgitating it."

"Also amazing is the fact that Agent Automatic went to the trouble of ASKING me if I'd seen the article, and when I said I hadn't, he MAILED ME TWO COPIES!

"Now THAT is NOT your normal everyday journalist!
Most of them give you candy, take you out in the country, buttfuck you at gunpoint, then torture you to death and bury you in a shallow grave or chop you to pieces and leave the parts scattered in the forest for animals and bugs to consume. Then they go home and get paid and their article comes out."

"Bent on destroying the social order, Agent Automatic joins The Record staff. It is around this time that we begin finding our office phones to be wire-tapped." - Joe Gulliani, Editor

"The ever talented writer and minister of propaganda Agent Automatic." -General Bastard

Current Publications

Verbicide (Issue 22) has my interview with Kevin O'Rourke, one of Detroit's fastest rising artists.

Kevin O’Rourke is part of a new generation of Motor City artists. This low-key powerhouse fuses elements of graphic design and advertising verve into frenetic rock art that’s cool as liquid nitrogen. O’Rourke’s ball busting work ethic means that he always has multiple projects going. He recently produced both the movie poster and on screen credits for It came from Detroit (2007), a film about the reincarnation of Detroit’s garage scene by bands like The Detroit Cobras,
Bantam Rooster and The Dirtbombs. Being a rock artist, graphic designer and illustrator makes Kevin one of the hardest working artists in The Motor City. I like character and Detroit has a lot of it. Its buildings are graphically vibrant. Detroit’s one of the coolest cities I’ve ever lived in."

Look in Verbicide Magazine for my  column "Semi-automatic Reviews" where I take a look at "Control", "Resident Evil Apocalypse" and "Sunshine."

The Record: Detroit's Music Journal has my interview the psycho-billy dynamo Scotty Karate as their December cover story.
